Elsie H. Chang, Founder

Elsie Chang is a seasoned executive and leadership coach. She is qualified as a Master Certified Coach (MCC), the highest-level professional designation awarded by the International Coaching Federation. Only 3% of global coaches have earned the MCC credential. She helps leaders and change agents fully express their highest purpose and mission. Her career spans over 25+ years in Fortune 500 companies, multilateral organizations, international NGOs, and politics. Her global mindset was indelibly shaped by early experiences in her birthplace Hong Kong, and formative years as a ‘Third Culture Kid’ living on four continents. Elsie continued a peripatetic lifestyle as an expat, and ventures to more than fifty countries on business assignments and personal trips. Morocco, Kingdom of Mustang, Maldives, India, and Egypt top an overflowing bucket list of travel destinations. 

Her qualifications include an MBA in International Business earned at Thunderbird School of Global Management. She teaches neuroscience-based mindfulness skills at Fortune 500 companies, and for private clients. She completed a nine-month advanced mindfulness facilitation program offered by Search Inside Yourself Leadership Institute, which originated at Google. Elsie is a certified mindfulness teacher through the intensive two-year Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program designed and led by Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield. She has practiced meditation for over 20 years, attended week-long silent retreats, and completed a series of profound, research-based meditation protocols led by Dr. Jeffery Martin, PhD in the Finders Course, 45-Days to Awakening Challenge, Exemplars Program, and Explorers Course. Elsie served as a mentor in the 45-Days to Awakening Challenge.

She offers additional transformational modalities, such as metacognitive art in her practice as a certified Motherboard coach, Color of Woman teacher, and Guild member of Musea, Center of Intentional Creativity. She has graduated from extensive training programs and developed deep expertise as a certified life purpose guide for individuals, teams, and organizations through two leading organizations: True Purpose Institute and Purpose Guides Institute.

For over a decade Elsie served as a member of Working Mother Media’s Advisory Board for the annual Leadership Summit for Women in National Security Careers, where she was a speaker and facilitator. She often provides facilitation and pro bono coaching at the Seramount annual Multicultural Women’s Conference and Work Beyond Summit. Elsie has contributed to the coaching profession by volunteering on the Board of Directors of the International Coach Federation Metro DC Chapter. She was honored to serve one term on the Governance Committee of Make-A-Wish Mid-Atlantic chapter in service of children with critical illnesses, and their families.
